Waianae Coast Rotary Christmas Parade
Parade History
The Waianae Coast Christmas Parade is one of the longest-standing holiday traditions on Oahu’s Leeward Coast, bringing generations of families together in celebration, unity, and aloha.
The parade dates back to the 1950s, originally organized by the Waianae Businessmen’s Association and later sustained by various community leaders. In 1994, the Waianae Coast Rotary Club formally took over as the organizing body, providing year-round structure and volunteer leadership to ensure the event would continue for future generations.
Under Rotary stewardship, the parade has grown to include:
70+ parade units annually
Over 2,000 participants including keiki, schools, hula hālau, marching bands, and local businesses
Thousands of spectators lining the parade route from Waianae Boat Harbor to Waianae Mall

Scholarship Fundraiser
The parade is more than just a holiday event—it is a community fundraiser, supporting scholarships for graduating high school seniors living in the 96792 zip code.
The Waianae Coast Rotary Club is proud to carry this tradition forward—celebrating the spirit of aloha and investing in the future of our youth.
