Aloha and welcome to the Waianae Coast Rotary Club!
Rotary International is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who share a commitment to creating lasting, positive change. Since 1905, Rotary has grown to more than 46,000 clubs in nearly every country, working together to improve lives through projects that advance clean water, education, peacebuilding, health, and the eradication of polio.
Across the United States, Rotary clubs unite people from all walks of life — professionals, educators, small business owners, and volunteers — to strengthen communities, respond to disasters, and empower youth through service and leadership.
Here in Hawaii, Rotary District 5000 connects clubs across every major island, blending professional service with the aloha spirit. Hawaii Rotarians tackle local challenges such as food insecurity, education access, sustainability, and environmental stewardship while nurturing youth through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and Interact. Our district motto, “Service Above Self with Aloha,” reflects the balance between global ideals and the local values that make our islands unique.
On the Waianae Coast, our Rotary Club continues that legacy with deep roots in community connection. Chartered in 1969, the Waianae Coast Rotary Club has served generations through initiatives that uplift youth, honor kupuna, and celebrate the culture and resilience of our coast. We proudly organize the annual Waianae Coast Rotary Christmas Parade, a beloved tradition since the 1950s, and support scholarships, literacy programs, and partnerships that strengthen families and promote unity throughout the 96792 community.
As president, my goal is to build on this proud legacy by expanding our outreach, deepening partnerships, and inspiring the next generation of service-minded leaders. Whether you are a resident, a returning kamaaina, or a visitor hoping to give back while in Hawaii, we invite you to join us — in fellowship, in service, and in aloha.
Mahalo for visiting our website, and we hope to see you at an upcoming meeting or community event.
