What is Rotary International?

We are 1.2 million neighbors, friends, and community leaders who are creating positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world. Our diverse occupations, cultures, and experiences give us a unique perspective. Our shared passion for service helps us accomplish remarkable feats.

Through our programs for emerging leaders, we’re also helping young people get the skills and experience they need to make a real difference in the lives of others. We offer both service clubs and programs to help students and young professionals strengthen their leadership skills, expand their world understanding, and make new friends.

With clubs in nearly every country, Rotary’s positive impact on communities around the world has never been greater. If you share our passion for creating lasting change, contact our club to learn how you can join!

What is a Rotarian?

Rotarians are people who look beyond themselves to their community, their nation, and the world. They seek the truth, they let fairness govern their actions, they endeavor to build goodwill and better friendships, and they strive to benefit all in their interpersonal relationships. This is the Four Way Test. In short, Rotarians put service to others before themselves.

Each day, Rotarians pour their passion, integrity, and intelligence into completing projects that have a lasting impact. We persevere until we deliver real, lasting solutions.

How Do I Become a Member?

Membership is by invitation. Members are chosen to represent their respective past or present business or professions. The “Classification Principle” strives to make sure that our membership includes a qualified representative of each worthy business and profession on the Waianae Coast. In this way, our club becomes a cross-section of the community.

Rotary Causes

Rotary is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever.

We foster understanding across cultures and train adults and young leaders to prevent and mediate conflict and help refugees fleeing dangerous areas.

We are resolved to rid the world of polio forever. We also educate and equip communities to stop other diseases and expand access to health care.

We help bring sustainable clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells and walk away.

We expand access to quality medical care, sanitation, education and economic opportunities so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.

Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.

We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old.

We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities and the environment.
